Statistics make it very clear that Foster Youth are much more likely to succeed when they have someone to walk together with them on the challenging journey they find themselves on, especially when they have transitioned out of the system and are trying to get started with life as they have never experienced it.
An Awyken Coach Mentor is such a person.
They are someone who has:
A loving heart to help and serve Foster Youth
A willingness to commit to work with a Foster Youth for at least a year
For those who desire to step into this role, we have designed an Awyken Coach Mentor Training to prepare you. Training will include:
How you will make a difference
What is a Coach?
What is a Mentor?
How does a Coach Mentor combine both roles?
What is distinctive about working with the TAY community
Nuts and bolts of Coach Mentoring (Be A Mentor)
After training you will be prepared, together with the Awyken Coach Mentor team, to empower a Foster Youth to succeed in their life’s journey.
